This lead guitar jam track, entitled “Liquid”, is great for working on switching between major and minor tonalities. The first eight bars are over a G major chord and the second eight bars are over a G minor chord. This gives you a great way to work on switching between your G major and G minor scales. The cool thing about this is that your tonality changes while all of your root notes stay in the same place.
If you are new to improvising, or if you are simply starting to learn your major and minor scales, this is a great jam track to experiment with. If you are a more advanced player you can take this track as far as you like with arpeggios, pentatonics, and substitutions. Incorporate this track into your daily practice routine and have fun with it.
