In this project you will build a cool DIY Gel Fire Pit.
Here are the supplies you need:
- Cheap plastic bowls ($5),
- Pam or other non-stick oil cooking spray,
- Quikrete Quick Setting Cement,
- palm sander,
- grout sponge,
- 60 and 150 grit sandpaper,
- lava rocks, and
- gel fuel cans.
The plastic bowls are used to cast your cement bowl. Quick setting cement is ready in about 5-6 hours.
Using lava rocks in fires ensures that they won’t pop or explode.
Find the gel fuel cans in the garden center of most stores. This fuel burns clean and won’t create a heavy smoke.
